Ingredients
- 2.5 oz (75 ml) Bourbon
- 0.5 oz (15 ml) Simple Syrup
- 10 leaves Fresh Mint

Garnish: A generous mint bouquet and a dusting of powdered sugar
Instructions
Gently press the mint with the simple syrup in a julep cup to release the oils. Add the bourbon and fill the cup with crushed ice. Stir until the cup frosts, then mound more crushed ice on top.

A mint julep as a nod to Jefferson's Virginia and the hand that wrote the Declaration. Frost-cold bourbon and fresh mint, the most genteel way to toast the Fourth.
